TBILISI. – The Russian natural gas supply to Armenia is temporarily suspended as a result of damage in the Georgian section of the pipeline, the Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia informed.  

The gas supply company has commenced repairs, and Georgia’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alexander Khetaguri is at the scene of the accident, Gruzia Online news agency of Georgia reported. 

Khetaguri informed, however, that the mishap has not caused any problems for the natural gas supply to Georgia and Armenia. At present, Armenia is using its stored gas.

The Minister also noted that another day is needed to fully repair the damage, and then gas supply to Armenia will resume.
