YEREVAN. – Armenia’s interstate highways, local roads, and mountain passes are drivable, for the most part, as of Tuesday 10:30 a.m.
But there is hidden ice on some road sections, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Also, the local roads in Talin and Ashtarak cities, and the Shirak-Jajur, Gyumri-Ashotsk-Bavra, Gyumri-Amasia, Tsaghkahovit-Alagyaz, Kalbajar-Sotk highways are difficult to drive. And as a result of blizzard, the local roads in Aragats and Aparan cities are mainly closed.
Selim Mountain Pass, and the Berd-Chambarak and Aragyugh-Buzhakan motorways are closed.
Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.
And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Tuesday at 8:45 a.m., Georgia’s Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is likewise closed.
