The former director of the International Monetary Fund Dominique Strauss-Kahn was detained within the framework of the new scandal case on investigation into prostitution ring in Lille.

Strauss-Kahn was interrogated in Lille, the investigation is interested in his role in organization of prostitution ring in Carlton hotel.

Strauss-Kahn may face 7 years imprisonment and a fine of 375 thousand euros, RIA Novosti reports.
