YEREVAN. - In 2011 Armenia imported 33.6 thousand tons of fruits and exported 15.3 tons. In 2009 Armenia exported 17 thousand tons of fruits - that was the highest result.
In November, 2011, the Armenian Government had decided to create ‘Armenian Fruit’ company, allocating $1.7 for the project. The main aims of the company are exporting Armenian fruits and helping farmers to grow high quality fruits.
However, the creation of the company is delayed. Questions concerning the creation of the company are included in the Government session scheduled for Thursday.
