The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is suffering unprecedented losses in Lebanon, Israeli sources said, Military Watch Magazine reports.
"Israeli sources have widely indicated that recent ground force losses have been unprecedented since at least the 1980s, when they faced the Syrian Arab Army and local paramilitary groups in Lebanon as part of a prior war effort," the article states, in particular.
According to the aforesaid magazine, Hezbollah has intensified its attacks on IDF armored vehicles. The group mainly uses attack drones to strike Israeli targets.
The Lebanese forces have managed to destroy Merkava IV main battle tanks, D9 Caterpillar armored bulldozers, and Namer heavy infantry fighting vehicles.
It is emphasized that the IDF had not suffered such huge losses since the 1980s.
