Chinese President Xi Jinping has made four proposals to maintain and strengthen peace and stability in the Middle East, reports Xinhua news agency.
First, the Chinese leader stressed the need to adhere to the principle of peaceful coexistence.
Second, he called for promoting the improvement of relations between the Gulf states and the formation of a stable security architecture in the region.
Third, he stressed the importance of respecting the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the countries in the region.
And fourth, Xi noted the need to uphold the principle of concerted action in upholding and developing international law and in matters of security.
