YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Wednesday delegates, who visited Yerevan to participate in the session of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on Social, Education, Culture and Civil Society Affairs. 

Sargsyan stressed that Armenia welcomed the establishment of Euronest, which is a parliamentary cooperation platform between the EU states and EU Eastern neighbors, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Besides, it can turn into a supporting platform for development of Eastern Partnership project and regional cooperation.

The President answered to the delegates’ questions regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections, Armenia’s expectations from the organization, development and cooperation of Armenia-EU relations, improvements in the fields of economy and democracy, as well as Armenia’s position on the Karabakh conflict and the recent developments in talks.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, delegates from Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and EU states Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Italy and Spain, as well as 4 delegates from Azerbaijan arrived in Armenia to participate in the meeting
