YEREVAN. – Armenia’s interstate highways, local roads, and mountain passes are drivable, for the most part, as of Thursday 10 a.m.

There are icy roads in some sections, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The motorways are closed in Nigavan, Saralanj, Dzoraglukh, and Yernjapat villages near Aparan city.

Selim Mountain Pass is drivable at present. 

The Sotk-Karvachar Highway is difficult to pass.

Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.

And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Thursday at 9 a.m., travel at Georgia’s Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway—which leads to the Armenian border—is prohibited for trailers and semi-trailers, and for buses seating more than thirty passengers. Traffic is solely permitted for other vehicles with chained wheels, and for four-wheel drive automobiles.
