YEREVAN. – An Armenian delegation, led by Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan, held meetings in Lithuania with the officials of the country’s field of education.  

Also, the governments of both countries signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of education and science, Education and Science Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

This memorandum envisions the encouragement of, and assistance to, defining the equivalence of the qualifications given by the educational institutions of the two countries, and mutually recognizing of these qualifications. Also, reciprocal scholarships will be provided. In addition, work experience and information will be exchanged on the ongoing projects and reforms. 

Within the framework of its official visit to Lithuania, the delegation also met with representatives of the country’s Armenian community.
