YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Central Electoral Committee confirmed the schedule of the upcoming parliamentary elections during an extraordinary session on Friday.

To remind, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan announced the day of the parliamentary elections, which are scheduled for May 6, 2012. According to the established order, CEC must confirm the schedule of elections.

The schedule includes 90 different events.

According to the schedule, parties and one-mandate candidates must present documents by March 22. The registration of parties starts on April 1. By April 6, parties and candidates that have been nominated for the majoritarian system must present declarations about their income. The electoral campaign in the parliament will take place during April 8 - May 4. Electoral bulletins will be printed from April 26 to May 3.

On May 5 the final numbers of voters will be published.

On May 5th the election campaigning is prohibited – as it is a day of silence. The elections will take place from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on May 6.
