Armenia’s Central Bank to put new banknotes into circulation

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Central Bank will put new AMD 5,000 and AMD 10,000 banknotes into circulation during the coming months.

As the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank told Armenian, due to security measures the thumbnails of the banknotes will not be published yet but there will not be many changes between the old and new banknotes.

The old banknotes will be used with the new ones.

To note, the AMD 5,000 banknote was released in 1999 and was put into circulation in 2000.

The AMD 10,000 banknote was put into circulation in 2003.
