YEREVAN. – The union between the ruling coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) and the United Labor Party (ULP) is conditioned on the parliamentary election season, the coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia MP Mkrtich Minasyan stated during a press conference on Thursday.

In his turn, the event’s other speaker, the opposition Free Democrats Party member and former FM Alexander Arzumanyan noted that a union is good if it is on an ideological basis.

And with respect to the PAP-ULP union, he said that such mergers are not long-lasting, and, in addition, in such cases one political party “swallows” the other. So, Arzumanyan believes that the parties must implement their ideas on their own.
