LIMASSOL. – Canadian team lost to Armenian in friendly 1:3 on Wednesday in Limassol, Cyprus. Canadian chief coach Stephen Hart said he was glad his team played against Armenian in the interview with Toronto Star immediately following the match.

“We still have a lot of work to do but I’m really happy we played this game because the quality of the opposition, the way they played, and the speed,” Coach Stephen Hart said. “Something we badly needed. We looked like a team that has not played in four months.”

Despite the score, Hart was pleased with the play of both his goalkeepers.

“We started out quite well and I think we got a bit optimistic there. They were a lot better team than I personally thought. I think 3-1 was a fair score,” Canadian forward Iain Hume said, Toronto Star reports.
