Syrian opposition instigated by the West will not reject further plans for military and information destabilization in Syria and campaign against the incumbent President Bashar al Assad, expert Andrey Areshev told the Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, Syria is under enormous international pressure aimed at throwing down Assad.

“The EU has recognized as legal the representation of the so-called Syrian National Council, based in Istanbul. It is nonsense, but that enables making even more efforts by the de-facto established coalition, including the U.S., the EU, Turkey and some Arab states,” Areshev said.

According to him, the U.S. and its allies constantly are getting reinforced on the borders with Syria preparing a bridgehead. Besides, Washington presses on the allies of Syria, in particular, Russia, China and Iran. Increase of intensification and escalation in Syria will cause a new wave of extremism, terrorism and the Libyan scenario may be repeated, he added.
