YEREVAN. – Jonik, the brother of Armenia’s former National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, will not be nominated with the majority election system from the election district where his brother was elected MP, Irates De Facto writes.   

“[And] According to reliable sources, the ‘above’ is discussing the candidacy of former Police Chief Alik Sargsyan in that election district. And Jonik’s associates are very closely following [former Road Police Chief] Margar Ohanyan’s trial, and they are doing everything so that Alik Sargsyan does not come out unscaved from this ‘quandary.’ In any case, the analysts say Alik Sargsyan’s chances are very high,” Irates De Facto writes.
