YEREVAN. – Upon the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am, MFA Press Secretary Tigran Balayan commented on the Azerbaijani media news, according to which  Roland Kobia, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, allegedly stated that EU has new initiatives with respect to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. 

“I believe this is yet another misinformation by the Azerbaijani media. A misunderstanding, in any case. The [Karabakh peace] talks are being conducted under the brokerage of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

No proposals have been made by any other organization. EU fully supports the efforts by the Co-Chairs, and this is announced, on numerous occasions, on the highest level; last time on March 6 in Brussels,” Tigran Balayan stated.
