YEREVAN. – The opposition Free Democrats Party’s congress, which will be convened on Friday, will not announce about a joint parliamentary election list with the opposition Heritage Party, Free Democrats’ leader Khachatur Kokobelyan stated during a press conference on Monday.
He noted that if a decision is reached with respect to this joint list, he would not be against that it be headed by Heritage’s leader, Raffi Hovannisian. “There are numerous deserving candidates, but I consider Hovannisian’s candidacy to be [the] right [choice],” Kokobelyan said.
In his words, the Free Democrats Party congress will not announce that they will run in the upcoming parliamentary elections with a joint proportional list with the Heritage Party, because such list is not yet prepared. “But we will announce about the principles for cooperation with Heritage,” Khachatur Kokobelyan added.
