YEREVAN.- Penalties for unfair competition in France might reach up to 10% of turnover, President of the French Competition Authority Bruno Lasserre, who is in Armenia on an official visit, told the reporter of Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In 2001 the penalties totaled €420 million. During the first quarter of 2012 that indicator reached €300 million.

“It is good that companies themselves report about such cases. For example, proceedings have been recently initiated in the market of flour and detergent, however the companies themselves reported about the violations. In special cases they were able to escape penalty,” Lasserre said.
