Los-Angeles launched hearings on an American-Armenian police officer case, who claimed he had faced ethnic slurs and other forms of harassment by his colleagues.

Detective Steve Karagiosian’s attorney said that his client had faced ethnic slurs by six officers, The Burbank Leader reports.

One of the officers Aaron Kendrick was accused of calling Armenians “towel heads”.

Besides, Kendrick told the Armenian officer as if he was hired and promoted only because he was Armenian.

The Armenian officer was promoted and even was named Officer of the Year in 2007.
