The high representative of EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Police Catherine Ashton again confirmed the intention of the Council of EU to discuss the issue of the political boycott of Euro 2012 in Ukraine. She told before the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said in the beginning of the session, that EU had stronger leverage than not attending the Euro 2012. She warned that Ukraine could appear in the situation of Belarus and did exclude the possibility of sanctions against Ukraine’s leadership.
