Adhar Bhalinge from India won a $20,000 grand prize during the M2Work international online contest which is sponsored by the World Bank and aims to find the best ideas for stimulating the potential of creating working places through mobile phones. The event was organized by Nokia and infoDev and attracted the attention of 939 people, 96 percent of which were from developing countries.

As the infoDev website reports, Adhar Bhalinge was selected as winner from six finalists.

Armenian Alexander Shakaryan ranked second. His ‘MicroForester’ project will support reforestation programs.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Armenia toped the chart of countries which have yielded the most submissions (205) to M2Work microwork contest held by the World Bank.
