YEREVAN. – Irrigation water must be supplied to Armenia’s villagers free of charge, Union of Domestic Goods Producers Chairman and Progressive United Communist Party President Vazgen Safaryan said during a press conference on Wednesday.

In his words, it is solely in this way that a 170,000-heactare non-cultivated land can be cultivated in the country.

In addition, as per Safaryan, the Chemical Plant of Vanadzor City needs to be re-operated so that there would not be a need to import fertilizers from Georgia and to sell them to the villagers as overhead.

Remaining faithful to the Communist ideology, Vazgen Safaryan also proposed that the country’s Constitution must specify that the state is obligated to provide jobs to the people.
