YEREVAN. – The investigatory department at the State Revenue Committee of Armenia ended preliminary investigation on a criminal case instigated against a person with dual citizenship (Armenia and the United States) who attempted to smuggle weapons in Armenia.

The Armenian citizen A. Harutyunyan decided to return back to Armenia for permanent residence in 2009 and hence moved his belongings from the United States to Armenia. Among the belongings there also were three guns, which were preliminary allowed by the Armenian police, the Attorney General Office secretary told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

However, other weapons also were found in his belongings when he was returning back last December, so Harutyunyan is found guilty and the case will be considered by the court.
