YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire, at the line of contact in the border with Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, around 6,000 times in the first five months of this year.

In line with Armenian MOD data, as a result five Armenians were killed and seven were wounded from January to May.

To note, Azerbaijan has set new “records” in terms of cease-fire violations in recent years. It violated the ceasefire 600 times in 2006; 1,400 times in 2007; 3,500 times in 2008; 4,600 times in 2009; 7,200 times in 2010; and 12,600 times in 2011.
