The Karabakh conflict does not contribute to regional security, Georgian MFA representative said.

During the Monday briefing Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadaze noted the international community and regional states, are well aware of a fragile security in the region.

“I am completely confident that all the conflicting parties realize how complicated the problem is and what will be consequences for the region,” she said.

Kalandadze also expressed confidence that both states will be adequate in their assessment of the situation and will take all necessary measures to ensure security, Gruziya Online reports.

She added that Georgia has intensive contacts with both states.
