YEREVAN. – The exports from Armenia are not diversified, Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia Executive Director Gagik Makaryan said during a press conference on Friday.

According to him, the makeup of Armenia’s exports practically did not change in the past several years, and 25 name products compose 80 percent of total export nomenclature.

And small enterprises do not receive Government support, specifically in the form of exporting loans.

“Remember, how many of our enterprises were small and medium-size? They are the ones that need support. Very often they are unable to deal with documentation,” noted Makaryan.

To note, Armenia’s main export products are copper concentrate and crude copper, aluminum foil, brandy, ferromolybdenum and molybdenum, black metal residue, and fresh and canned fruits and vegetables.
