YEREVAN. – During its OSCE Chairmanship Ukraine wants to direct the Nagorno-Karabakh process toward a settlement, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych stated during the informal meeting of the Club of Chief Editors of CIS countries, Baltic States and Georgia, Novosti Gruzia informs.     

“One of the activity directions during Ukraine’s OSCE Chairmanship will be the settlement of main frozen problems, including the Karabakh [issue]. We are carefully examining the situation,” said the Ukrainian Head of State. 

Viktor Yanukovych also informed that official talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan will commence in January 2013.

To note, Ukraine will chair the OSCE in 2013. The FMs of 56 OSCE-member states had adopted such decision at the necessary consensus on November 23, 2010.
