PARIS. – The Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) released a statement on the presidential elections held in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, welcoming it and condemning Turkey and Azerbaijan for their attitude on the issue, Nouvelles d`Arménie reports.

“The CCAF welcomes the people and elections, held on Thursday, in the young sovereign state of Nagorno-Karabakh. However, Ankara condemned those elections claiming they hamper peace, while Baku stated that all the international observers visiting Karabakh are declared ‘persona non grata’,” the statement reads.

The CCAF also claims that the only decision for settling the Karabakh peace process is the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic based on the people’s right of self-determination.
