YEREVAN.- Nairi Insurance LLC and Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine CJSC signed on Thursday a voluntary health insurance contract according to which 3,500 employees of the combine and their family members will be provided with the widest range of health services.

Every policyholder may enjoy various health services for about AMD 5 million. The same terms are employed to their family members, both elderly and children.

The policyholder may consult the doctors Nairi Insurance who carry out 24-hour consultations. Under the guidance of a physician, a policyholder may get assistance of any specialist or, if necessary, be moved to any medical facility in the territory of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh where they will undergo treatment under guidance of Nairi Insurance doctors. They are to make sure that the policyholder receives full treatment since they are responsible for the efficient medical services provided to the client.

At a press conference following the event, Sos Ghahramanyan, Adviser to the Director General of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine CJSC, noted the combine had always carried out projects aimed at solving health problems of its employees.

“However, this program differs from the previous projects with its scope, coverage and efficiency. And we can proudly state that we have insured an entire city, over 10,000 citizens - 3,500 employees and their family member. Our company, in the person of General Director Maxim Hakobyan, acknowledges that an employer is responsible for its employees, as well as for their family members,” he said.

In his turn, Davit Baghdasaryan, 'Nairi Insurance LLC Executive Director, mentioned they greatly appreciate partner’s activities.

“It is both a significant precondition for the development of the medical insurance industry and a vivid example for other major employers in Armenia to demonstrate their responsibility and care towards their employees. Nairi Insurance was well aware of the difficulty of the assigned tasks and the degree of responsibility. It is quite complicated to insure an entire city but we, as an insurance company having greatest experience among the Armenian colleagues, never avoid difficulties and repeatedly proved it by our work,” he said.

According to Armen Shahinyan, doctor with an approximately 10-year experience in the insurance industry, (Head of Individual Requirments Regulation Department at Nairi Insurance LLC), the given program is exceptional in all aspects, i.e. it is unprecedented from the viewpoint of the vulnerability of insured social groups, scopes and terms of the coverage provided, as well as the organization of the provision of services.

“The move of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine CJSC is an important precondition and basis for the introduction of compulsory medical insurance system in our country,” he added.
