YEREVAN. – The protest actions against public transport fares rise continue in Armenia’s capital for the fifth day.

The members of the “We will not Pay 150 Drams” initiative gathered in the center from 11am, urging to join them and pay 100 drams.

The passers-by are joining the activists and are shouting their slogans. Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent, activists said some minibuses went on strike, too.

The protest movement is positively perceived even by minibus drivers. The action is accompanied by “Free car” movement: drivers of taxis and other vehicles are taking people from the bus stops and carrying them in different directions free of charge. One of the drivers turned out to be a policeman.
