YEREVAN. Prior to the Armenia-Russia EURO 2012 qualifying match, health state of Armenian team captain Sargsis Hovsepyan deteriorated. He got a severe food poisoning and spent the night under the supervision of doctors, Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper reports
According to the newspaper, Hovsepyan woke up several hours before the match and had a quick lunch, saying he was ready to play. However, it turned out Hovsepyan was not included in the player’s list. The captain asked the coach to include him in the list. Following the talks with UEFA, Sargis Hovespyan held the 120th match within the national team of Armenia.
