YEREVAN. – Despite the heavy snowfall, Armenia’s interstate highways and local roads are not closed as of Friday 8 a.m.

And solely the Berd-Chambarak Highway and Selim Mountain Pass are closed. All equipment and machinery are in use in order to guarantee safety and clear the roads, the Transport and Communication Ministry informs.

There is snowfall in most parts of Armenia, and there are blizzards at some roads.
