MOSCOW. – Armenian national team member, Grandmaster Vladimir Hakobyan, drew with his Kazakh opponent in Round 6 of the Aeroflot Open chess tournament being held in Moscow. 

But Grandmaster Hrant Melkumyan, who was at the top of the standings after Round 5, was defeated by his Italian challenger.

Karen Grigoryan, on the other hand, played a draw with the Polish grandmaster.

After Round 6, Hrant Melkumyan received 4 points and he shares 5th -17th spots, together with twelve players.   

Karen Grigoryan has 3.5 points, and Vladimir Hakobyan has amassed 3 points.
