A Turkish court denied the lawsuit by Hrant Dink’s—the founder and former chief editor of Istanbul’s Agos Armenian bilingual weekly, who was gunned down in 2007 in front of his office building—family who had appealed the Ankara Prosecutor’s Office’s decision to stop the investigation launched against two National Intelligence Service (MIT) agents.

The court dismissed the lawsuit on the grounds of lack of corresponding evidence against these agents, Star daily of Turkey informs.

Hrant Dink’s family had filed a petition with the Ankara Prosecutor’s Office, demanding that an inquiry be launched against those two MIT agents who had summoned Dink to the Istanbul Provincial Hall where they had threatened him. But the Prosecutor’s Office had rejected Dink family’s petition on the grounds of the crime’s time limitation.
