YEREVAN.- Prosperous Armenia Party responded to remarks of Olympic champion Yuri Vardanyan regarding failure of Armenian weightlifter Arakel Mirzoyan in London, Zhamanak daily writes.

The newspaper writes that Vardanyan commented on “not professional decisions” of Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan, who also heading Armenia’s Olympic committee.

“Spokesperson for the party Tigran Urikhanyan gave a political answer saying Vardanyan should better stay in Armenia instead of going to US so he could help Armenian weightlifters.  Urikhanyan wanted to say that Tsarukyan helps weightlifters.  But no one is perfect. Does it mean Tsarukyan cannot make any mistakes? Does he has a right to do everything and avoid responsibility?” the daily writes.
