YEREVAN. – The ruling circles in Armenia are saying that the position of the country’s ambassador to Germany again will be given to the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party, and apparently, ARF Bureau member Levon Mkrtchyan will be appointed Armenia’s new ambassador to Germany, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“[But] during a conversation with our correspondent yesterday [, Monday], Mkrtchyan himself said that there is no such thing.

“Incidentally, there was information, still a year ago, on appointing Levon Mkrtchyan—who held the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia between 2000 and 2001—ambassador to a European country,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
