YEREVAN. – The prices of common consumer goods have considerably risen in Armenia, Chorrord Ishkhanutyun daily reported.
“According to official statistics, 2.5-percent inflation was recorded in Armenia in January of this year, as compared to December [of last year], and this year the prices rose by 4.3 percent, as compared to January of the previous year.
“It is noteworthy the fact that the [prices of] food products have increased the most by 4.5 percent, [and] the consumption goods by 3.4 percent, in one month.
“[Also] according to official statistics, the inflation totaled 27.4 percent this year, as compared to 2010,” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun wrote.
