YEREVAN. – “Why did the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Supreme Body (RPA SB) special session take so long?”, Hraparak asked an SB member, the daily reported.
‘“Many important matters were discussed; they all spoke one by one.’ On what topic? ‘The RPA Chairman [, President Serzh Sargsyan,] said we [, the RPA,] are heading to the constitutional reforms, we have no business with others, we have our things to do, [and] based on the demands of others, we will not stop our plans.’
“According to our interlocutor, the SB [meeting] was heated; representatives of the [party] youth wing spoke from a tougher stance.
“They suggested drawing a line and seeing ‘who is with whom.’ [But] they did not come to a final conclusion; the decisive [conclusion] will be on Thursday; that of the RPA Board.
“According to our source, Serzh Sargsyan was concerned, even angry. [RPA Vice-Chairman, PM] Hovik Abrahamyan, who had a very bad mood, also spoke [at the special party session],” Hraparak wrote.
