YEREVAN. – Yerevan Bread Factory proprietor Ashot Avetisyan told Zhoghovurd daily that the output of their enterprise has dropped sharply in recent times, and this is due to a decline in demand, the daily reported.

‘“The bread factory in Sevan city is my property, too, and the volume of bread production there has reduced by 60 percent; people have switched to baking bread at home.

“I see the same picture in [Armenia’s capital] Yerevan city, too, where the people similarly have switched to baking bread at home. In this way people are saving money,’ Ashot Avetisyan said.

“He also said that, to save money, people have [even] begun buying one-day old returned breads, which the bakers are selling for half price,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
