YEREVAN. – Moscow is suspicious of any initiative concerning Armenia’s relations with Europe, whether it is just a visit, negotiations on a deal, or moreover an agreement, Russian analyst, columnist in Russia’s Ekho Moskvy Andrey Piontkovsky told 168zham daily.

Prior to signing any agreement, the Armenian leader will have leave for Moscow to ask for Putin’s permission, he said, adding that Armenia, unfortunately, is deprived of foreign policy which is directed from Moscow.

“Therefore we should be ready to any scenario: if Putin permits, Sargsyan will sign, if not, he will not sign,” he said.

Piontkovsky is confident that Armenia’s foreign policy cannot undergo changes without Kremlin, and it is unlikely that Riga summit or future Armenia-EU relations will be an exception.
