YEREVAN. – Last year, the wife and two children of Rubik Abrahamyan, the governor of Armenia’s Ararat Province, have received huge amounts of money as donation, and also registered income that is not related to salaries, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.  

“In 2014, the provincial governor himself solely received hard-earned income; a mere 3.3 million-dram [approx. $6,776] salary.

“A question arises: If it is possible to receive such gifts and income without having any job, why would Abrahamyan need the poor office of the provincial governor?” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
