YEREVAN. – Famous American Armenian TV personality Kim Kardashian was so interested in Armenia that, before her departure from the country, she asked to be sent Armenian poets’ pomes translated into English, reported Hraparak daily.   

“Our government sources reported that Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan, who had participated in [PM] Hovik Abrahamyan’s talk with Kim, recently sent her the late Samvel Mkrtchyan’s A Selection of Armenian Poetry book, which includes the poems [of numerous Armenian poets from different times].

“Incidentally, Samvel Mkrtchyan’s two-volume translations of the Armenian poets of all times, including those living abroad, is prepared these days and it will be published in the near future, and the national government has also sent this to ‘precious’ Kim,” wrote Hraparak daily.
