YEREVAN. – After the recent explosions that occurred in several natural gas stations in Armenia, quite interesting facts are emerging in connection with this domain, reported Zhoghovurd daily.

“Zhoghovurd found out that there is no body in Armenia that is accountable for the testing of the [natural] gas cylinders that are installed on cars [in the country].

“The technical inspection coupons, which are put on the cars, are of formal nature.

“This is the case when the [natural] gas cylinders installed on cars have a limited resource of use, and experts advise inspecting it at least once in two years. But people use the cylinders for years without having an idea about the extent it is safe.

“Moreover, the fact is that the [natural] gas cylinders explode while pumping, and as a rule, the drivers are at a safe distance at that time, and the [natural] gas station employees are affected,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
