YEREVAN. – Planes were unable to land at Zvartnots International Airport, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, due to the rain, wind, and lightning on Thursday evening, reported Hraparak daily.

“We learned from the Zvartnots airport that the flight from Paris had landed the most late. (…) The plane had flown to [Georgia’s capital city of] Tbilisi, rested [there] for 8 hours, and landed in Yerevan on [Friday,] June 19 at 10am.

“Members of the Armenian delegation, which attended the European Court of Human Rights hearings on the Sargsyan v. Republic of Azerbaijan and Chiragov v. Republic of Armenia cases, were returning to Armenia with the Paris flight. They included Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan, his deputy Emil Babayan, Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan, and [several] others.

“The Armenian officials got off [the plane] in Tbilisi, from there reaching Yerevan only yesterday [i.e. Friday], at dawn,” wrote Hraparak.
