YEREVAN. – The apricot exports from Armenia’s Ararat Valley meets all expectations, reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.
“Armenian apricots are primarily exported to Georgia and the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation].
“[But] the exporters, in an interview with our correspondent, noted that the work of apricot exports could bring either a huge income or a huge loss in a few days.
“There are problems at the Larsi checkpoint [on the Georgia-Russia] border, and to solve them, probably the [Armenian] Ministry of Foreign Affairs—which at first sight has nothing to do with agriculture—needs to intervene,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
