YEREVAN. – Traditionally, the Republic of Armenia’s (RA) ambassadors working abroad are invited back to the country in August, and several days of meetings are held, during which instructions and orders are handed down about their future, reported Hraparak daily.

“But this August is hot in terms of diplomacy, also in connection with the expected changes in ambassadors in several countries.

“Moreover, one of the candidates for ambassador is [the serving Minister of Diaspora] Hranush Hakobyan, who will be taken to either Belarus or any Arab country.

“And Vahagn Melikyan, who was appointed deputy [diaspora] minister a few months ago (…), will be appointed Minister of Diaspora in her place.

“Vahagn Melikyan was the RA Ambassador to Argentina, but he served for a very short time,” wrote Hraparak.
