YEREVAN. – The prosecutor’s offices of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and the Russian Federation (RF) have reached a final agreement on the serving of the prison sentence of Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, who is charged with the murder of seven members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, Armenia, reported Zhoghovurd daily.

“Accordingly, while in detention until the end of trial and [until] the [court] verdict to be made against Permyakov comes into force, he will continue to be held in the RF 102nd Military Base located in Gyumri.  

“And once the [court] verdict comes into force, Permyakov will be handed over to the law enforcement of Armenia, and he will serve his sentence in one of the RA penal institutions,” wrote Zhoghovurd.
