YEREVAN. – A total of 521,801 people arrived in and 539,671 others departed from Armenia between January and July this year, reported Hraparak daily.
“The number of people arriving [in the country] this year was expected to increase in connection with the Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary events. But we have recorded a decrease, as compared to the indicators in the same period last year. [Accordingly,] 551,911 people arrived [in], whereas 579,580 [people] departed [from Armenia] last year. It turns out that the number of those that arrived [in the country] this year dropped by 30,110 people.
“The numbers of airplanes that landed [in] and flew [from the country] are also noteworthy. Airplanes landed in and flew from Armenia 5,216 times this year, [whereas] 6,117 times last year,” wrote Hraparak.
