YEREVAN. – On Tuesday and Wednesday, the person behind the report “Escalation of Violence in Nagorno Karabakh [NK] and the Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan,” Robert Walter from Great Britain (GB), will visit the NK Line of Contact on a fact finding mission, and via Azerbaijan, reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“This information appeared yesterday [i.e. Monday] in the PACE [i.e. the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe] official website.

“To recap, Walter, who is known for his pro-Azerbaijani views, had not entered the parliament after the parliamentary elections that were held in Great Britain in May. So, he could not be sent to PACE and prepare the [aforesaid] report with a scandalous name. His only chance[, therefore,] of entering the GB parliament was to be appointed a lord. But as of yesterday, his name was not on the list of the lords.

“Our correspondent managed to find out that the term of Walter’s office ends on November 7, and his chance of being appointed a lord is slight.

“The PACE fall session begins on September 29, and, in fact, it was decided to quickly implement the case of the report,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
