YEREVAN. – Haykakan Zhamanak daily has learned that the draft of the 2016 state budget for the Republic of Armenia (RA) will be on the agenda of the forthcoming session of the Cabinet, reported the daily. 

“Next year’s budget is distinguished by the fact that there are numerous uncertainties around the amount of budget revenue collection, [and] which is in no way impossible to calculate.

“This is primarily due to the situation in our main economic partner country, Russia. (…) the amount of private remittances being sent from the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] to Armenia has reduced, [and] our financial market has shuddered.

“It is already apparent that the budget revenues envisioned for this year will not be collected, and next year’s draft budget will be prepared based on this very reality.

“[But] the matter of the RA national debt is more severe,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
